David Mashburn, M.Ed. provides individual, couples and group integrative psychotherapy, life/career coaching and personal development services by partnering with you in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires maximum personal and professional potential.

Integrative Psychotherapy, Life/Career Coaching and Personal Development incorporates a "mind, body, spirit" approach to support the "whole" person's overall wellbeing. Clients are continuously encouraged to be creative, and are reminded of their freedom of choice while receiving constructive feedback regularly within a safe, nurturing and respectful environment. This collaborative relationship reinforces clients’ self-awareness, self-responsibility, and commitment toward crafting their life design.

Psychotherapy

Some of David's areas of expertise and interests include anxiety, depression, addiction/substance abuse, loss/grief, trauma/post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), relationships, personal development, creativity, life purpose, spirituality, consciousness, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgendered (LGBT) issues, coming out, HIV/AIDS, life/career coaching and artist development.  

 
Life and Career Coaching
 

In addition to psychotherapy, David also provides life and career coaching which is tailored for people who do not have clinically significant mental health problems or diagnoses. Adult clients (ages 20+) are self-motivated, open-minded, and love to learn. Although individuals may have a general uneasy sense that something needs to change, they struggle insofar as knowing where to start. In these situations, people pursue support to:

  • Embrace and adapt to life transitions (e.g., career/job, relocation, relationships, illness, roles, etc.).
  • Integrate aptitudes, interests, values, gifts, strengths, talents, and skills in practical ways.
  • Enhance quality of life, self-development, relationships, and performance potential.
  • Grow in emotional and spiritual maturity.
  • Identify priorities and learn to effectively balance work/life stressors.
  • Increase trust, confidence, hope, and self-esteem during times of loss and disappointment.
  • Express emotions such as fear, anger, worry, and care in healthy ways.

By focusing on setting goals, creating outcomes and managing personal change, you can live a more fulfilling, peaceful, abundant and satisfying life.
